"The Idea that CO2 gases trap heat in the upper atmosphere is lame point. Heat is trapped any way and has since the beginning.  Space is a vacuum Heat doesn't travel through a vacuum. What would be more likely would be that the CO2 would slightly diffract Light rays back into space or slightly impede  light rays from reflecting out from the earth.   Just remember heat is mechanical Energy Light is electromagnetic energy– High school Physics.  (Well maybe not from a public high school.)"   Dr. Capitalist Karl
